Incident or injury

Last week, I burned my hand while taking something hot out of the oven. I wasn’t paying enough attention and forgot to use oven mitts, so the tray was much hotter than I expected. It hurt a lot, and I had to put my hand under cold water for several minutes. From this accident, I learned that I should always use oven mitts and check if the tray is cool before touching it. I also realized how important it is to stay focused when cooking and to be more careful when handling hot dishes to avoid getting hurt again.
